Certified Veterans Affairs Contractor
First of all, thank you for your service, we truly appreciate the sacrifice you’ve made for us. As a VA certified contractor, we accept VA benefits and can help walk you through the process of how to use them.
You may be entitled to benefits you didn’t know you had. Are you 50% or more disabled, as a result of your service? If so, you may have $6,800 in home modification benefits. Even if your disability rating is less than 50%, you may still be entitled to a portion of these benefits.
The Home Improvements and Structural Alterations (HISA) grant provides medically necessary improvements and structural alterations to the primary residence of a service-member for a variety of purposes. Some of these purposes include:
- Use of essential lavatory facilities (i.e. roll in showers, etc.)
- Allowing accessibility to kitchen or bathroom sinks or counters (i.e. lowering counters/sinks)
- Improving plumbing or electrical systems made necessary due to installation of home medical equipment
Notably, HISA will NOT pay for a spa, hot tub, or Jacuzzi.
Veterans who have a non-service connected condition may still be eligible to receive a lifetime $2,000 benefit.
Contact us today and we’ll help you understand the process and how A&M Solutions can smooth the process for you. Downloadable forms from the VA are available below.

Helping those in need for over a decade
"Many thanks for transforming my tired tub/shower unit into a luxury spa like shower! Stepping into my giant tub to shower was an effort. Scott and his team removed the tub and custom built a large, beautiful shower with bench, grab bars, caddies and easy access. This is a friendly, trustworthy business providing quality materials and craftsmanship."Jackie H.
